HOW I CAN HELP
Start with how you feel, not with the name of a therapy.
You do not need to know which approach is right for you before you begin. Start with what you are experiencing, what feels difficult, or what you would like to change.
Choose the area below that feels closest to where you are right now.
WHEN EVERYTHING FEELS TOO MUCH
I feel overwhelmed
When demands build up, it can become difficult to know where to begin. Your thoughts may feel crowded, emotions may feel close to the surface and even ordinary decisions can start to feel exhausting.
Jo can help you slow things down, explore what is contributing to the feeling of overwhelm and find a way of working that feels manageable rather than adding another task to your list.
Approaches that may be explored include Havening, Hypnotherapy, Embodiment Coaching or other calming and body-based work.
WHEN YOUR MIND KEEPS GOING
I can’t switch off
You may feel tired but unable to settle, physically tense while your thoughts continue racing, or constantly alert even when there is nothing you need to deal with in that moment.
The aim is not to force your mind to become blank. It is to create enough space for you to notice what keeps pulling your attention back into tension and explore ways of settling more naturally.
Hypnotherapy, Havening, Embodiment Coaching, massage or sound-based relaxation may all offer different ways into this.
WHEN THE PAST STILL FEELS PRESENT
I’m holding onto something
Sometimes an experience may be over, yet the emotional response to it remains. A memory, relationship, disappointment or difficult period may still influence how you feel or respond today.
You do not have to arrive ready to tell your whole story. Jo can work at a pace that feels appropriate and help you explore what still feels unresolved without pushing you beyond what you want to discuss.
Havening, Hypnotherapy and Embodiment Coaching may provide different ways of working with these responses.
WHEN SELF-DOUBT GETS IN THE WAY
I need more confidence
You may know what you want to do but find yourself hesitating, second-guessing yourself or falling back into familiar beliefs about what you can and cannot manage.
Confidence does not always come from simply telling yourself to be more positive. Sometimes it helps to understand the beliefs, reactions and physical patterns that appear when you feel uncertain.
Hypnotherapy, RTT, Havening and Embodiment Coaching may all be useful areas to explore.
WHEN YOU FEEL DISCONNECTED FROM YOURSELF
I want to feel like myself again
There are times when you may not be able to point to one particular problem. You simply know that you feel depleted, disconnected, stuck or unlike the person you remember being.
This can be a useful place to begin. You do not have to define exactly what needs changing before speaking with Jo.
Jo can draw on mind-based, body-based and complementary approaches depending on what you need and what feels comfortable to you.
A PERSONAL APPROACH
You don’t have to arrive with all the answers.
Simply start with what is happening for you. Jo will listen, help you explore what you would like to change and discuss which kind of support may feel most appropriate.
01
Start with a conversation
Talk through what has brought you here and what you would like to feel or experience differently.
02
Find the right approach
Jo can draw on different therapies rather than expecting every person to fit one particular method.
03
Move at your own pace
Sessions are shaped around you, with space to ask questions, pause and decide what feels comfortable.
