SOUND BATHS & EVENTS
Step out of the noise and into sound.
Join Mark and Jo for immersive sound journeys using gongs, singing bowls, bells, chimes and other resonant instruments in a space created for rest, stillness and inner exploration.

SOUND JOURNEYS WITH MARK & JO
More than simply playing instruments.
Mark leads the sound work, shaping each journey through the choice of instruments, changing tones, harmonics, intensity and periods of silence.
Jo brings her therapeutic experience and supportive presence, helping create a calm and welcoming environment in which people can settle into the experience in their own way.
Together, the aim is to create a journey that develops, changes and eventually returns to stillness rather than simply presenting a sequence of sounds.
WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?
A space to stop doing and simply listen.
During a sound bath, you normally lie comfortably while the instruments are played around the room.
Unlike conventional music, there does not have to be a melody, rhythm or song to follow. Instead, you experience changing layers of tone, resonance, vibration and silence.
Many people use sound baths as a way to relax, meditate, reflect or simply spend some time away from everyday demands.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SOUND JOURNEY?
Settle. Journey. Return.
01
Settle
Make yourself comfortable on your mat with blankets and cushions and allow some time to settle before the journey begins.
02
Journey
The sound gradually develops through gongs, bowls, bells, chimes and other instruments, moving through different tones, frequencies and levels of intensity.
03
Return
The journey gradually becomes quieter, leaving time for stillness before you gently return to ordinary awareness.
WHAT MIGHT YOU EXPERIENCE?
Every sound journey is different.
Some people become deeply relaxed, while others remain very aware of the individual instruments and changing sounds.
You may notice physical vibration from the gongs, experience thoughts or imagery, drift into a dream-like state or simply enjoy lying still and listening.
There is no correct response and nothing you need to achieve.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Make yourself comfortable.
Something to lie on
Bring a yoga mat, camping mat or something similarly comfortable to lie on.
Blanket & pillow
Your body temperature can drop while resting, so bring a warm blanket and a pillow or cushion.
Comfortable clothing
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring anything else that helps you settle and relax.
